If your home is humid you should try to use a dehumidifier to keep the relative humidity below 30%. Dust mites love humid places and will quickly breed if humidity rises well above this level. It’s also important to keep on top of your laundry, especially bedding, and make sure this is washed on a hot setting.
Lastly, getting your carpets cleaned on a regular basis by a professional cleaning company can also reduce dust mites and pet dander and hence reduce the allergen levels within the home.
